This is the very first post of Design4F.com.
I designed this webblog with two main purposes:
1. To display my online portfolio.
2. To share my ideas with people
My first idea about this website was just a static website with a gallery so that I can post my work here. However, web design is just like fashion, it has styles too, and styles can change through time. Websites with heavy graphics and static contents (it’s actually what I used to create) are no longer a fashion anymore. So, to keep up with other people, I decided to pay more time with a dynamic website.
This website is basically based on Wordpress which is a standard and popular webblog system. It took me a while to familiar myself with Wordpress because I’ve never used it before (poor me!). However, I was glad that I had made a good choice because WordPress appeared to be a flexible and powerful open source system.
So, after 3 days coding with CSS and PHP, Design4F was born. The layout is a simple 2 columns I created based on the default theme of wordpress: manually rewrite the theme’s PHP files and CSS (sounds simple but it’s actually a lot of work there). At this point, I haven’t finish it yet. Some scripts need to be fixed here and there, but I expect everything should run nice and smooth for now. I’m trying to finish it off.
So here we go. This is the very first official post of Design4F.com.
